Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in commerce, accounting, or financial management
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification (essential)
• 10+ years’ experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a large or multi-entity organization
• Strong background in financial reporting, cashflow management, and compliance
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Experience influencing stakeholders and driving performance improvements
• High emotional intelligence with resilience and proactive problem-solving mindset
• Excellent commercial acumen with ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights
• Strong experience in complex, fast-paced environments
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, medical assessment, and Ministry of Justice check

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end financial processes, financial reporting, and OneStream submissions
• Drive sustainable cost management and provide detailed analysis on functional cost performance
• Optimize cash collections and working capital management, including cashflow forecasting and debtor management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles across the business in both New Zealand and Australia
• Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and internal control requirements
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes
• Provide mentoring, leadership, and development to build a high-performing, collaborative finance team
• Work closely with senior leaders across NZ and Australia to provide strategic financial insights
• Influence business decisions and improve outcomes through data-driven recommendations
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all organizational levels
• Oversee financial controls and ensure accuracy in all reporting
