Requirements

  • Trade qualification or hands-on experience in auto electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, automotive, or engineering disciplines
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with confidence working on large-scale machinery or industrial systems in field environments
  • Capability to work independently, manage personal workload, and communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Excellent organizational abilities including travel planning, parts coordination, and time management
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the North Island with occasional overnight stays
  • Dedication to safety standards, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service delivery
  • Self-motivated with ability to operate remotely without direct local supervision

Responsibilities

  • Operate from a fully equipped company vehicle to support, maintain, and service FFE and Madill machinery across the North Island
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, field repairs, diagnostics, fault identification, and component replacements
  • Work with diverse systems including hydraulics, electrical circuits, PLC controls, sensors, wiring, engines, and large mechanical assemblies
  • Tune machine hydraulics using PLC controllers
  • Conduct regular health inspections on FFE equipment
  • Independently manage daily schedules, coordinate parts and logistics, and maintain clear communication with customers and DC headquarters
  • Work autonomously without local branch supervision, effectively planning time and travel routes
  • Maintain precise job records, service reports, and documentation while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Serve as the professional face of the company and primary point of contact for field customers
