About the Job
As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you’ll help with daily milking operations, animal handling, feeding, and general farm maintenance. You’ll work closely with the farm team to ensure animal welfare, high-quality milk production, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Assist with efficient and hygienic milking routines.

Handle and move livestock safely, reporting any animal health concerns.

Set up feed breaks, distribute feed, and monitor crop and pasture health.

Support effluent system management and comply with environmental regulations.

Safely operate and maintain farm vehicles, machinery, and irrigation systems.

Follow all health, safety, and wellbeing procedures on the farm.
Requirements

Must be able to work weekends, start early, and work in all weather conditions.

Hold a valid driver’s licence and be drug-free.

Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.

Capable of riding a motorbike.

Must live on the farm with no personal animals.
