Description
As Dairy Production Manager (2IC), you will assist in running day-to-day farm operations, focusing on animal welfare, pasture management, team leadership, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll have opportunities to mentor team members and take on key operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Support the Farm Manager in achieving production and performance goals

Oversee animal health, feeding, and pasture management

Assist with financial planning and staff training

Lead toolbox meetings and contribute to a safe work culture

Maintain high standards of farm presentation and compliance
Requirements

Previous experience in a senior dairy role or readiness to step into leadership

Solid understanding of grazing management and feed budgeting

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Commitment to safety, animal welfare, and continuous improvement

Full New Zealand driver’s licence
