Dairy Assistant Production Manager – Taupo

Pāmu – Landcorp is seeking a motivated Dairy Assistant Production Manager to join the team at Bounty Dairy, located just ten minutes from Taupo. This is a full-time, permanent role where you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and the chance to step up into leadership while working on one of New Zealand’s leading farms.

Job Summary

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role or as a Dairy Farm Assistant ready to step up

  • Skills in pasture management, feed planning, and general farm operations

  • Confidence riding two-wheel motorbikes

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

  • Proactive attitude towards health, safety, and farm compliance

  • ITO Level 2 qualification (preferred)

  • Restricted or full driver’s licence

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand (permanent roles only)

Responsibilities

  • Support feed planning and pasture management to achieve production targets

  • Lead milking operations and maintain high hygiene standards

  • Monitor animal health and assist with rearing young stock

  • Manage effluent systems and ensure environmental compliance

  • Coach junior staff and support daily farm operations

  • Step in for the Production Manager when required
