Requirements
- Trade-qualified brick/blocklayer certification (essential)
- Experience working on both commercial and residential construction sites
- Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
- Ability to take and follow instructions effectively
- Punctual with excellent time management—arrive on time consistently
- Physically fit and capable of demanding manual labour
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills with practical solutions

- Full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential)

Responsibilities
- Lay bricks and blocks on commercial and residential construction sites
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Measure and cut materials accurately to required dimensions
- Mix and apply mortar to required consistency
- Build walls, foundations, and structures according to specifications
- Ensure all work meets building codes and quality standards
- Work safely following health and safety protocols at all times
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with other trades and team members on projects
- Problem-solve construction challenges as they arise
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow supervisor instructions and project timelines
- Ensure structural integrity and quality craftsmanship
- Transport to various job sites across Nelson and Tasman region
