Job Requirements for Poultry Farm Workers

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience is an asset, but not required – training will be provided
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physically demanding work in various weather and barn conditions
• Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to follow safety and cleanliness protocols

Responsibilities for Poultry Farm Workers

• Feed, monitor, and care for poultry, including chickens, in layer farming environments
• Clean and disinfect poultry housin,g including barns, coops, pens, and barnyards
• Clear and remove brush and debris from the farm environment
• Monitor animal health and report signs of illness or unusual behavior
• Detect and respond to disease or pest problems in livestock and poultry
• Ensure animals have constant access to clean water and appropriate feed
• Assist with general farm duties as assigned

Other Responsibilities

• Support team members with daily farm tasks
• Follow all farm safety and biosecurity procedures
• Maintain hygienic and organized animal care areas
• Help prepare poultry environments for seasonal and operational changes
