FarmRight Ltd is currently hiring 2 Orchard Hands to join their team at Rosewood Orchards in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand. These permanent, full-time roles are set to begin in mid to late August 2025 and offer the opportunity to work outdoors in a thriving pipfruit industry.

Job Requirements

FarmRight is looking for individuals who:

• Have proven experience working outdoors or in a similar physical role
  
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  
• Have excellent communication and a problem-solving mindset
  
• Can work both independently and as part of a team
  
• Have experience operating machinery or plant equipment
  
• Hold a current NZ driver’s license (or are able to obtain one)
  
• Understand the importance of compliance with standards (e.g. Global GAP – desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

As an Orchard Hand, your daily tasks will include:

• Carrying out harvest operations while maintaining crop quality
  
• Pruning and thinning trees to support optimal growth and fruiting
  
• Monitoring for pests and diseases and reporting findings
  
• Assisting with irrigation maintenance and weed control
  
• Supporting seasonal orchard tasks as directed by the Orchard Manager
  
• Collaborating with the team to complete tasks safely and efficiently
