Horticultural Nursery Worker Needed at Annton Nursery Ltd

Annton Nursery Ltd, a leading wholesale grower of high-quality flowering perennials and shrubs based in Cambridge, Waikato, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their dispatch and production teams. 

This role offers a unique opportunity for people who are passionate about plants, enjoy physical work, and want to be part of a busy and supportive horticultural environment. The positions are full-time, fixed-term roles running from September through March 2026, with the potential for longer-term employment for the right candidates.

Job Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A genuine interest in plants and horticulture.
• Comfortable with physical labour and working in varied weather conditions.
• A reliable team player with a flexible attitude.
• Willingness to learn—full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
• Must be local and a New Zealand resident (sponsorship is not available).
• A Class 2 Truck Licence or Spraysafe qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

The successful applicants will contribute to a wide range of nursery tasks, including:

• Preparing and dispatching customer orders for shipment.
• Assisting in the production department by prepping nursery space.
• Operating and supporting the potting machine.
• General greenhouse and outdoor nursery work to support seasonal demands.
• Ensuring workspaces remain safe, clean, and organized.
