B & J Berry Farm Ltd., located in the heart of Abbotsford, British Columbia, is looking to hire 11 hardworking Fruit Farm Workers to join their team before the winter harvest season.

Job Requirements for Fruit Farm Workers

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• No prior experience required – full training will be provided
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
• Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area
• Must be available to start on the advertised date

Responsibilities for Fruit Farm Workers

• Pick row and orchard crops such as blueberries and raspberries
• Sort, grade, and pack fruits and vegetables based on size, color, shape, and market standards
• Clean and prepare harvested crops for distribution
• Hoe between rows, weed, tie, and secure plants
• Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and fertilize crops
• Hand-harvest and load farm produce into crates or containers
• Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and machinery
• Examine fruit for quality and readiness before sending to market

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with general farm duties, including cleaning and setting up fields
• Follow health and safety procedures in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
• Support seasonal tasks depending on the crop cycle and weather
