Requirements
- Previous experience in accounting roles
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or equivalent
- Understanding of accounting best practices
- Well-organized with natural problem-solving abilities
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all business levels
- Advanced Excel skills and interest or experience with Microsoft 365 suite of tools
- Permanent right to work in New Zealand (required at time of application)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Clean Ministry of Justice record check
Responsibilities
- Manage financial accounting tasks including reconciliations and reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts across the branch network
- Conduct monthly balance sheet audits
- Collaborate with teams to identify best practices and continuously improve processes and procedures
- Provide payroll support
- Assist with IRD (Inland Revenue Department) filings and reconciliations
- Support stock management within branches and ensure accurate, timely reporting
- Work with teams to prepare and consolidate annual budgets
- Utilize Power BI and other data tools to gather information, build reports, and enhance processes
- Complete ad-hoc project work as required
- Work closely with senior leadership team and branches to support decision-making
- Provide accurate and timely internal management reporting
