Farm Managers in New Zealand are responsible for overseeing the overall operations of a farm, from planning and budgeting to managing staff and ensuring productivity. Responsibilities:

Operations & Logistics: Plan and supervise all farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and livestock care. Manage commercial vehicle fleets and coordinate with agricultural machinery suppliers.

Staff Management: Manage staff, assign daily duties, and ensure high work standards. Implement payroll software systems to ensure accurate wage processing for international and domestic staff.

Financial Management: Oversee budgets, inventory, and financial records. Liaise with agricultural banking advisors to secure funding for farm improvements and manage business insurance policies for crop and livestock protection.

Compliance: Implement strict workplace health and safety (OHS) policies and environmental regulations. Ensure all staff have valid liability insurance coverage.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance using advanced farm management software (SaaS) and develop improvement strategies.
Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field (preferred).

Visa Eligibility: Must meet the criteria for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). Candidates may need to provide a police clearance certificate and pass a medical examination for immigration purposes.

Proven experience in farm management or supervisory roles.
