Job Requirements for Farm Hand Position
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- No farm experience required – complete training will be provided
- Must not keep poultry or birds at home due to biosecurity requirements
- Must live within 30 minutes of the site
- Valid work rights in New Zealand
- Must be physically fit, reliable, and team-oriented
- Weekend availability required (rotating roster)
Responsibilities for Farm Hand Position
- Handle and care for poultry flocks with attention to welfare
- Collect eggs for delivery to the Hatchery
- Feed flocks and maintain a clean, safe environment in the sheds
- Prepare sheds for new bird arrivals
- Carry out general farm maintenance and tasks
Other Responsibilities
- Support animal health and cleanliness standards
- Ensure smooth operations across various daily farm tasks
- Follow hygiene, safety, and company biosecurity protocols
- Report any issues with equipment or animals to supervisors
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure productivity
Work Conditions for Farm Hand Position
- On-site work only; remote work not available
- Fast-paced, physical, and hands-on role
- Weekend shift rotation
- Work involves standing, lifting, walking, and bending for extended periods
- All work takes place in clean, modern farm sheds
