Dairy Farm Assistant – Ajax Dairy

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to join the hardworking team at Ajax Dairy, just outside Taupō. As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you’ll assist with various farm tasks, including milking, calving, feeding stock, effluent management, spraying, and fencing. You’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operations, contributing to animal welfare and production targets. Full training and guidance will be provided, making this role perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in the farming industry.

The position is drive-in/drive-out, meaning you can enjoy flexibility while working close to Taupō — a region known for its stunning landscapes, water sports, and outdoor activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dairy farming role (or a strong desire to learn)
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to health, safety, and animal welfare standards
• NZ restricted or full driver’s licence
