Business Advisor – Permanent
Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is seeking a Business Advisor to provide coaching and support to farm and food businesses. This role focuses on helping operations with transition planning, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making. The advisor will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, review business plans, and provide insight. Responsibilities include building a strong referral network, partnering with FCC teams to create resources, delivering presentations, and staying informed about industry changes in tax, finance, and law. The role also involves coaching FCC field teams on business management and succession planning while fostering strong client relationships.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in agricultural finance, business, or commerce

Advisory accreditation and at least 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)

Strong financial knowledge with understanding of agriculture/food industry

Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, mediation, and coaching skills
